英语励志演讲稿 篇1

I have a friend named Monty Roberts who owns a horse ranch in San Ysidro. He has let me use his house to put on fund-raising events to raise money foryouth at risk programs.

The last time I was there he introduced me by saying, "I want to tell youwhy I let Jack use my house. It all goes back to a story about a young man whowas the son of an itinerant horse trainer who would go from stable to stable, race track to race track, farm to farm and ranch to ranch, training horses. As aresult, the boy"s high school career was continually interrupted. When he was asenior, he was asked to write a paper about what he wanted to be and do when hegrew up.

"That night he wrote a seven-page paper describing his goal of somedayowning a horse ranch. He wrote about his dream in great detail and he even drewa diagram of a 200-acre ranch, showing the location of all the buildings, thestables and the track. Then he drew a detailed floor plan for a4,000-square-foot house that would sit on a 200-acre dream ranch.

"He put a great deal of his heart into the project and the next day hehanded it in to his teacher. Two days later he received his paper back. On thefront page was a large red F with a note that read, `See me after class."

"The boy with the dream went to see the teacher after class and asked, `Whydid I receive an F?"

"The teacher said, `This is an unrealistic dream for a young boy like you.You have no money. You come from an itinerant family. You have no resources.Owning a horse ranch requires a lot of money. You have to buy the land. You haveto pay for the original breeding stock and later you"ll have to pay large studfees. There"s no way you could ever do it.’ Then the teacher added, `If you willrewrite this paper with a more realistic goal, I will reconsider yourgrade.’

"The boy went home and thought about it long and hard. He asked his fatherwhat he should do. His father said, `Look, son, you have to make up your ownmind on this. However, I think it is a very important decision for you.’

"Finally, after sitting with it for a week, the boy turned in the samepaper, making no changes at all. He stated, `You can keep theF and I"ll keep my dream.

Monty then turned to the assembled group and said, "I tell you this storybecause you are sitting in my 4,000-square-foot house in the middle of my200-acre horse ranch. I still have that school paper framed over the fireplace."He added, "The best part of the story is that two summers ago that sameschoolteacher brought 30 kids to camp out on my ranch for a week." When theteacher was leaving, he said, `Look, Monty, I can tell you this now. When I wasyour teacher, I was something of a dream stealer. During those years I stole alot of kids’ dreams. Fortunately you had enough gumption not to give up onyours.’"

Don"t let anyone steal your dreams. Follow your heart, no matter what.

My dream

Students, guests , teachers and Honorable Judges.

Good morning !

my great pleasure to share my dream with you today. my dream is to become a teacher....

As the whole world has its boundaries, limits and freedom coexist in our life. I don’t expect complete freedom, which is impossible. I simply have a dream that supports my life.

I dream that one day, I could escape from the deep sea of thick schoolbooks and lead my own life. With my favorite fictions, I lie freely on the green grass, smelling the spring, listening to the wind singing, breathing the fresh and cool air and dissolve my soul in nature at last. Simple and short enjoyment can bring me great satisfaction.

I dream that one day the adults could throw their prejudice of comic and cartoon away. They could keep a lovely heart that can share sorrow and happiness with us while watching cartoon or doing personal things. That’s the real communication of heart to heart.

I have the belief that my dreams should come true. I am looking forward to some day coming when I am like a proud eagle, which flies to the blue and vast sky.

But when he rushed back to theshoeshop with the measurement, the shop had closed. As a result, he had suanwenwbusied himself for nothing.

Later, someone asked him:” Were you buying shoes for yourself or forothers? ”

He answered:” For myself.”

Someone else asked him:” Don’t you have your feet on yourself? You needonly to Try on shoes with your feet to get the right size. Why did you go backhome to fetch the measurement? “

The man of Zheng insisted:” I would rather trust the measurement than myown feet.”

演讲稿一:初中英语励志演讲稿——Attitude

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important than facts.

It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what the other people think, say,or do. It is more important than the appearance, the giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company,a church ,a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day, regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.

We cannot change our past.We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.We cannot change the inevitable.

The only thing we can do is play on the one stage we have. And that is our attitudes. I am convinced that life is ten percent what happens to me ,and ninety percent how I react to it.And so it is with you.

We are in charge of our attitudes.

英语励志演讲稿 篇7

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

Whether 60 of 26 , there is in every human being ?s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what?s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there?s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

That?s all !

英语励志演讲稿 篇8

good evening , ladies and gentlemen . i am joy and glad to give you a speech about stress , yes , just the topic you see on the screen.

psychologist tell us that stress is a state of worry caused by the problem of living , such as too much work or study , heavy responsibilities , and quickened pace of life .

statistics show that stress comes from every detail in our life . financial problems , poor health , being laid off may be the stress that most adults now suffering . as students in the university , we are also under our special stress . while study , having to take various tests and submit a project against a deadline may put a great pressure on us . and the things make us felt stressed may be our parents’s greater expectations on us than we could reach . later , when we are likely to graduate , some other problems will also annoy us . i think we will worry a lot about our ability to compete in the job market and how we can best use what we’ve learned at college in our future job .

my brother-in-law opened the bottom drawer of my sisters bureau and lifted out a tissue-wrapped package. this, he said, is not a slip. this is lingerie. he discarded the tissue and handed me the slip.

it was exquisite, silk, handmade and trimmed with a cobweb of lace. the price tag with an astronomical figure on it was still attached.

jan bought this the first time we went to new york, at least 8 or 9 years ago. she never wore it. she was saving it for a special occasion.

well, i guess this is the occasion.

he took the slip from me and put it on the bed, with the other clothes we were taking to the mortician. his hands lingered on the soft material for a moment, then he slammed the drawer shut and turned to me, dont ever save anything for a special occasion. every day you re alive is a special occasion.

i remembered those words through the funeral and the days that followed when i helped him and my niece attend to all the sad chores that follow an unexpected death. i thought about them on the plane returning to california from the midwestern town where my sisters family lives. i thought about all the things that she hadnt seen or heard or done. i thought about the things that she had done without realizing that they were special.

im still thinking about his words, and theyve changed the weeds in the garden. im spending more time with my family and friends and less time in committee meetings. whenever possible, life should be a pattern of experience to savour, not endure. im trying to recognize these moment now and cherish them.

im not saving anything; we use our good china and crystal for every special. event such as losing a pound, getting the sink unstopped, the first camellia blossom… i wear my good blazer to the market if i feel like it. my theory is if i look prosperous, i can shell out $28. 49 for one small bag of groceries without wincing. im not saving my good perfume for special parties s; clerks in hardware stores and tellers in banks have noses that function as well as my party going friends.

someday and one of these days are losing their grip on my vocabulary. if its worth seeing or hearing or doing, i want to see and hear and do it now. im not sure what my sister wouldve done had she know that she wouldnt be here for the tomorrow we all take for granted.

i think she would have called family members and a few close friends. she might have called a few former friends to apologize, and mend fences for past squabbles. i like to think she would have gone out for a chinese dinner, her favorite food. im guessing. ill never know.

its those little things left undone that would make me angry if i knew that my hours were limited. angry because i put off seeing good friends whom i was going to get in touch with someday. angry because i hadnt written certain letters that i intended to write one of these days. angry and sorry that i didnt tell my husband and daughter often enough how much i truly love them.

im trying very hard not to put off, hold back, or save anything that would add laughter and luster to our lives. and every morning when i open my eyes, i tell myself that every day, every minute, every breath truly, is... a gift from god.

ladies and gentlemen , good afternoon! i’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. i hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.

first i want to ask you some questions:

1、do you know what is youth?

2、how do you master your youth?

youth

英语励志演讲稿 篇9

Good morning! Ladies and Gentlemen,Today, Im so glad to come here. Its my honor to give the speech. Im He Tingting, coming from ABa Tibet and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. As a Qiang girl. I welcome you to our hometown. Now Ill talk about my dream.

My hometown is a remote, lonely village, with verdant mountains and clean streams, full of fresh air… The sur-roundings is quiet and graceful. What a wonderful sight! But Im sorry to say its so poor, so backward. One day in a late autumn, my parents and I went back there together, in order to call on my grandfather being ill. Getting off the bus, slowly we walked hard towards my hometown along a narrow winding path. Suddenly, the hap-py laughter of children interested me. I looked around, and caught sight of some children playing, aged 8-9. It seemed they were free from care. I went up to them, and

asked, " Why arent you at school now? Are you on leave?" One boy stood up and said sadly, " We dont have any teachers, No teachers teach us. Two years ago, we had a teacher from a city. But only two weeks later he went away. From then on, no teacher comes here any more. Also we have no school to attend here."

"Why dont you go to the city to study?" I asked. "My parents are both farmers, we havent enough money." He stopped for a moment, and then continued, "We really hope for school." After hearing that, I couldnt say a word with a heavy heart.

Later, I thought it over for a long time. Thats the childrens fault? No. Thats their parents fault with no money? No. But I don’t really understand why.

If they could be at school like me. How wonderful it is. However, in fact they couldn’t be. What can I do for them?

Facing the children unable to go to school;

Facing the poverty of minority nationality regions;

Facing all these facts, suddenly, a bright idea struck me. From that moment, I have a dream, a splendid dream!

I dream, one day, I will be able to be a teacher and return to my hometown. Ill try my best to let the children in-to the school, into the classroom. Ill teach them to read and teach them to write, with my patience, with my love, hon-estly. Ill turn them into the persons with a lot of knowledge.

I dream, one day, I can set up a school for children by myself;let these children enter the school. Of cause Ill hope to set up schools as many as I can, to let all the children enter the school.

Also, I dream, one day, the students I teach will graduate from universities and take heavy responsibilities of building our hometown, building our motherland.

I dream, one day, all these will come true. And my hometown will become richer and richer, more and more beautiful.

Thats my dream. Iu return to my mother school with my faith. Having this belief, Iu value the time, every hour, every minute, every second. Ill study each lesson well, and lay the foundation,in order to realize the hope of childrens attending school, seeking for knowledge.

Having this belief, Iu break up a new path to achieve the goal.

Having this belief, Il1 have enough courage to change all the bad situation.

I believe that my dream will turn into reality.

As you all know, some years ago, we had a Hope Project, a lot of children have already returned to the school grounds.

We all know, our government decides to develop the western area.

Our ent decides to develop areas in-habited by the minority nationalities. Especially, Our government decides to develop the education.

And I know, a lot of people in and out of our prefecture are working hard at it. Everyone is trying to contrib

Dear audience and judges,

My topic is "Can money buy happiness".

As we all know, money can buy all the goods in our life, no matter how huge it is. A spaceship, for example, if you really feel your bank account can afford it.

However, when it comes to love, satisfaction, happiness and many other human feelings, it is completely not like this. The result of many recent research can support my point. They said that, though people received far more money than ever, their standard for happiness also rised. That means, if you had one yuan, a car might be your dream, but if you had one million, you might consider owning a space trip. So when people always hope for those they can not afford, they will push themselves to an unhappy

Anyhow, money equal wealthy in life but not happiness in mind. Only by changing our attitude to money and enjoying every day, can we obtain a truely happy future!
