过去，我常听爸爸说村里的人们祖祖辈辈都是靠天吃饭，遇到风调雨顺的年景还能勉强吃饱肚子，若是遇到干旱的年景，大家就得挨饿。曾几何时，家乡的道路到处坑坑洼洼，一下雨就泥泞不堪，村里的人出不去，外面的人进不来。而现在我的家乡有了灌溉设施，能把渭河水引到地里灌溉农田，人们再也不用靠天吃饭了。道路都变成一条条宽阔整洁的混凝土硬化路，人们驾驶着货车、电动三轮车等各式各样的大小车辆，源源不断地将收获的蔬菜、药材等农作物运到各地贩卖，改善自己的生活。家乡的楼房多了，土坯房少了；小汽车多了，人力车少了，人们的生活逐渐富裕起来。
